   Your heart stops as 25 quail explode from the plum thicket! You pick a quail veering off to the left. You shoot he folds. You swing on a second quail as another covey of quail emerges not 30 yards in front of you...mass confusion. The excitement upland bird hunting brings can only be experienced.

This is not an uncommon scene in western Oklahoma where quail hunting is great. The terrain, which contains some of the best natural habitat, in combination with the agriculture crops makes this area a quail hunters paradise.
