The Lotspeich Ranch, located in the northwest part of Harper County, Oklahoma, lays along the south Kansas border. The Cimarron River runs through the middle of the 6 mile long, 2 mile wide, 12,000 acre ranch. On the north side of the Cimarron River along the Kansas border, there are rolling sand hills covered by sage brush, plum thickets, food plots, wild sun flowers, ragweed, and native forbs.
We know that whitetail deer travel quite a distance in the rut. Hunting south Kansas whitetails that cross over the border is not unheard of especailly during the rut.
The south side has much of the same with more brushy cover and a joining acres of wheat, alfalfa, and milo fields. The are no through roads and only 2 access roads to the ranch. This makes a nice refuge in deer paradise. The ranch has been leased to one person for fifteen years taking only mature whitetail bucks. We are doing limited hunts on the ranch so call and book early.
It has been highly managed with limited whitetail deer hunting for the last 35 years.
